Do you need to catch one or more Community Cats for TNR? The safest way to capture a Community Cat is to use a humane trap or drop trap.

We loan 1-2 traps for up to two weeks at no cost. We require a deposit when picking up the traps. We accept cash or credit card for the deposit, and we do not charge the card unless you don’t bring the trap back.

Most cats can be caught with our standard humane trap. We also have a limited number of larger traps and drop traps. Drop traps are a special type of humane trap intended to capture cats that have a history of avoiding standard humane traps. We recommend that you try using a standard humane trap first and then request a drop trap or larger humane trap only if you fail to trap the cat after numerous tries. Requests to borrow more than two traps at a time are taken on a case by case basis.

If you would like to borrow a trap for a lost personal pet or an injured/sick Community Cat please contact 678-561-3491 immediately for assistance.

If you’d like to reserve a trap(s), just fill out our reservation form and we will contact you when the trap(s) you requested is available for pickup. Traps are picked up at our Duluth Clinic Mondays through Thursdays preferably between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. if possible. Thanks!
