Priscila has been working part time for Planned PEThood at both the Duluth clinic and the Gwinnett shelter since April 2019. In early 2021, she joined us as our full-time foster medical lead.
Priscila knew she would follow a veterinary career path early in her life when she started volunteering at the Benjamin Vicuña Mackenna humane society located in Santiago, Chile, while she was attending high school. After she moved to the USA in 2007, she started helping with transports and fostering for a rescue group called Redemption for Animals. In 2011, she started volunteering at LifeLine Animal Project where she later became an employee as a Cat Care Attendant. In 2017 she decided to become a Veterinary Assistant and has been working at various VCA animal hospitals during and after her graduation from Penn Foster. She’s still furthering her medical knowledge by studying to become a registered Veterinary Technician. She loves watching webinars and earning CE hours in her free time. She has 6 rescue cats and lives with her husband and mom.
