Since college Lauren has been working to help cats and dogs, even creating a spay/neuter transport program for people without vehicles while attending the University in Georgia. Over the past ten years, Lauren has used her degree in Public Relations to help local shelters and rescue groups. In the past she has worked in fundraising, marketing, and managerial roles at other organizations including managing the merger between Furkids Animal Rescue and Small Dog Rescue in 2014. Now, Lauren manages grant opportunities, donor relations, and special events for Planned PEThood of GA. “Planned PEThood tackles pet overpopulation from all angles. It isn’t just a band-aid. We are actually solving problems which I LOVE!” When she isn’t working Lauren spends time with her dogs, cats, and young daughter. They are big movie enthusiasts, and Dawg Fans!
