Gloria Dorsey completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in Alabama. Her career in shelter medicine began more than 27 years ago initially as the Staff Veterinarian before being promoted to Vice President of Medical Services. She is a staunch supporter of animal welfare services which she believes contribute to community health and wellness. Dr. Dorsey is committed to engaging the public about best practices in pet ownership and safe and appropriate interactions between people and animals. She has provided veterinary support on numerous animal cases: pit bull seizures from dog fighting activities; dog and cat hoarding cases; the seizure of 5,000 rats and reptiles in California; the transport of six bears to an animal sanctuary in Colorado; and lots more.
