Before coming to Planned PEThood in 2015, Dr. Odum served as the veterinarian at local Atlanta municipal shelters for 7 years. Dr. Odum’s years of service at local area shelters, make her one of the most experienced shelter veterinary medicine practitioners in the Atlanta area. Dr. Odum also has extensive experience in both cruelty/neglect cases and forensic exams and served from 2011 to 2014 as an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri Extension Service Law Enforcement Training Institute/National Animal Cruelty Investigations School. Dr. Odum has been in the veterinary field since 1995 and earned her DVM from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.
Dr. Odum oversees medical policy and procedure for our veterinary team at our Duluth Spay/Neuter Clinic, Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement, and for our rescue operations. In her down time Dr. Odum spends time with her husband and three children.
