After nearly two years in foster care, Sammy finally found his forever home!

Sammy came to Planned PEThood after he had been spotted in a feral colony, likely abandoned. He desperately needed medical intervention to address rotting teeth, infected wounds, a tumor in his ear, and more. Sammy went through several surgeries, including jaw surgery. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Sammy tested positive for FIV (Feline immunodeficiency virus), a common infectious disease that affects cats’ immune systems. Despite all his surgeries, the many terrible testing medications, and the long road to recovery, Sammy remained as sweet and friendly as ever.

This wonderful family saw Sammy during his stay at a local Pet Supermarket. Sammy immediately connected with them, and they thought he was so sweet. Sammy is a perfect fit for the family and will get lots of love and attention. He even took his beloved stuffed monkey with him to his new home.

Happy life Sammy! ❤️
