We were so excited to welcome the Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) to our Planned PEThood of Georgia clinic in Duluth on May 27th and 28th! If you haven’t heard of them, VEG is a nationally recognized leader in emergency veterinary care. It operates in over 100 locations nationwide, including four here in Georgia.

Experienced surgeons and licensed technicians from the VEG team joined us over several days, and supported patients and performed veterinary services alongside our team.

The visit offered a unique opportunity for both organizations to exchange insights, explore different approaches to patient care, and strengthen professional connections within the veterinary field.

VEG is known not only for its clinical excellence but also for its innovative, customer-focused model of emergency veterinary medicine- where pet parents stay with their animals throughout the visit, and communication is clear, compassionate, and transparent. It was inspiring to collaborate with a team that shares our passion for improving animal welfare and access to quality veterinary care.

At Planned PEThood, we believe that learning from one another is vital to advancing our mission. This visit was a great reminder of how much we all benefit when organizations come together to share knowledge and experiences.

Thank you to the VEG team for your time, curiosity, and collaboration. We look forward to staying connected!
