Merlin Cast A Spell On The Internet

When we introduced Merlin in early May, we had no idea he’d become the most popular kitten in Planned PEThood history. His magical photo shoot captured the hearts of thousands, making him our most-liked and most-shared kitten across social media.

But behind the wizard hat is a real kitten who got a second chance thanks to foster care, affordable veterinary services, and compassionate supporters like you. Merlin is a sweet reminder of the hope, healing, and joy that rescue animals bring into our lives.

🇺🇸 We celebrated with 53 pets, 42 military families and $0 in veterinary costs.

Throughout May, Planned PEThood honored Military Appreciation Month by providing free veterinary care to active-duty, veteran, and retired military families in Gwinnett County- and the results speak for themselves.

Thanks to the generous support of the Sunstate Foundation, 53 pets received free care and 42 military pet owners were served, including pets like Mochi (pictured), Toast, Panther, and Diego.

Together, we helped keep pets healthy, families together, and veterinary care accessible for those who’ve given so much in service to our country.

Coffee, Conversation & Kittens: A Morning of Connection!

On June 26, a wonderful mix of animal welfare advocates, donors, and supporters came together at our Duluth location to learn more about Planned PEThood- our history, our impact and our plans for the future.

The thoughtful conversations, great questions, and shared passion for helping animals, made this event a tremendous success. Shout out to Maple Street Biscuit Company who provided free food and coffee for the get together. We hope to see you at our next community event later this year.

Low Cost Pit Bull Wellness Event – July 18

Thanks to a generous, anonymous donor, Planned PEThood is excited to offer low cost wellness services to bully breeds and bully breed mixes on Saturday, July 18 from 9AM to 2:30 PM at our Duluth Clinic.

For just a $15 co-pay, pets receive a Wellness Exam, 1 Year Rabies Vaccine, Distemper/Parvo Vaccine, Heartworm Test, Microchip and Heartworm Prevention. Limited to two pets per household.
