Mid-Year Impact Update from Planned PEThood of Georgia
News
The first half of 2025 has been nothing short of incredible for Planned PEThood of Georgia. Thanks to our supporters, partners, and dedicated team, we’ve made tremendous progress in our mission to help pets and their families by providing innovative programs and affordable services that save lives.
Here’s what we’ve achieved through June 30, 2025.
- 🐾 Provided affordable veterinary care to more than 5,000 animals
- ✂️ Performed over 2,400 spay/neuter surgeries, tackling Georgia’s pet overpopulation crisis head-on
- 🏡 Found loving homes for 178 pets, including 70 hardworking barn cats
- 📦 Hosted a free outreach event in Newton County, serving 200+ pets with vaccines, microchips, and supplies
- 📚 Expanded humane education programs through KIRA Club for kids, kitten care training, and youth TNVR workshops
As we celebrate 15 years of lifesaving work, we’re proud of how far we’ve come—but we’re not stopping here. By the end of 2025, we’re on track to reach a monumental achievement:
🎉 100,000 spay/neuter surgeries performed since 2010 🎉

That’s 100,000 steps toward healthier pets, reduced shelter intake, and stronger communities across Georgia.
💛 Thank you to everyone who makes this work possible. Your support fuels every surgery, every adoption, and every life saved. Together, we’re creating a better future for animals in need.
