Kitten Lady Hannah Shaw Provides a Weekend of Kittenspiration

At Planned PEThood, our mission to save lives was given an incredible boost as we welcomed renowned humane educator and kitten advocate, Hannah Shaw, better known as the “Kitten Lady”, to Georgia on March 29th and 30th! It was a weekend dedicated to learning, inspiration, and, of course, adorable kittens.

Empowering the Community with Lifesaving Knowledge

On Saturday, March 29th, Hannah Shaw joined us for two transformative workshops focused on Saving Kittens. The first session, tailored for professionals in the animal welfare community, provided invaluable insights into best practices for kitten-centered programs. Topics included kitten diversion, foster programs, on-site care of neonatal kittens, and strategies to enhance kitten survival rates.

The second session welcomed kitten caregivers and the general public, offering a deep dive into the essentials of fostering and saving the most vulnerable felines. Attendees left with not only a greater understanding of kitten care but also the inspiration and tools to make a real difference in their communities.

An Afternoon of Tea, Treats, and Tiny Paws

The weekend concluded with a heartwarming fundraising event on Sunday, March 30th – Afternoon Tea with Kittens. This special gathering was a dream come true for cat lovers, featuring a delightful spread of tea, sweet treats, and delicious food. The event also included an exciting silent auction and a thrilling live auction, with all proceeds directly benefiting Planned PEThood’s lifesaving efforts. We were excited to have the Mayor of Duluth, Greg Whitlock, and his wife Barbara, in attendance for this unique event.

Of course, the true stars of the event were the kittens! Attendees had the unique opportunity to interact with some of our adorable, adoptable kittens while supporting a cause close to our hearts.

A Weekend to Remember

Having Hannah Shaw join us for this incredible weekend was a game-changer. Her expertise, passion, and advocacy for kittens aligned perfectly with Planned PEThood’s mission. Thanks to her workshops and our amazing supporters, we are more equipped than ever to continue our work of saving tiny lives.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make this event possible. Together, we can ensure that more kittens get the chance to thrive and find loving homes.

Stay tuned for more events and opportunities to support our lifesaving mission! 🐾
