On Friday, October 17, 2025, Planned PEThood of Georgia once again opened our doors (and our hearts!) for a special day dedicated to some of our favorite block-headed best friends – Pit Bulls! 🐾

Thanks to the generosity of Petco Love and an incredible anonymous donor with a heart for pitties, we were able to provide essential care to 25 dogs at our Pit Bull Wellness Event in Duluth. Each pup received a comprehensive wellness package that included:

✔️ A full wellness exam
✔️ Distemper vaccine
✔️ 1-year rabies vaccine
✔️ Heartworm test and prevention
✔️ A microchip if needed for extra peace of mind

The event was fully booked, and we were thrilled to see so many new faces. Every wagging tail reminded us just how important accessible, affordable care is to our community.

Among the first to arrive was Coco, a few-months-old puppy with a heart as big as her smile. Found as a stray, emaciated, starving, and far too young to be alone, Coco’s gentle, loving spirit never faded. Her new owner, who hadn’t planned to adopt again, couldn’t resist her charm. He was overjoyed to discover our low-cost clinic, where Coco could get the vaccinations and preventative care she needed to thrive.

Moments like these are exactly why we do what we do. By making veterinary care affordable and accessible, we help save lives, ease financial strain, and keep cherished pets like Coco healthy and at home, right where they belong. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Petco Love and our anonymous donor for making this day possible. Your compassion and commitment to Pit Bulls are changing lives, one wagging tail at a time.

Here’s to another successful event and to every pittie who left with a healthier body, a wagging tail, and a happy family by their side! 🐾✨
