Recently, Habersham County pet owners and their pets received much-needed assistance. Planned PEThood’s team worked with Habersham County Animal Care and Control to provide free veterinary care and supplies to pet owners in need.

Our team worked tirelessly to see 340 cats and dogs. We are thrilled that so many cats and dogs were able to receive free vaccines, microchips, flea preventative, pet supplies, spay/neuter vouchers, and more. Now, these pets have basic medical care and the opportunity to be spayed or neutered. These events ensure the wellness of pets in the community and help with reducing the overcrowding pressures animal shelters face.

So many amazing organizations and volunteers came together to help make this event possible. Our team could not have done it without the assistance of Habersham County Animal Care and Control and the generosity of supporters like you. If you’d like to help support future community pet clinics, make a donation today. Other contributions were provided by Fix Georgia Pets , Merck , Petco Love , and Greater Good Charities .

The need for events like this was obvious as people started to line up hours before the event even started. We hope to work with Habersham County Animal Care and Control again to continue helping pets and their families in Habersham County in the future.

Make sure to check our emails and social media for upcoming community pet clinic dates.
